Who is responsible for Kleivo
Kleivo is provided by DECODS LLC, 1621 Central Ave #8709, Cheyenne, WY 82001, United States. Contact us about privacy at help@decods.com.
What the app stores
Kleivo stores imported media copies, project edits, captions, voiceovers, saved revisions, preview files, exports, and preferences locally. The app does not include advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs, and does not automatically send your editing content or usage activity to us.
Media and permissions
- Photos and Files: you choose what to import through Apple's system pickers. Importing does not grant Kleivo access to your entire photo library. Photos, iCloud, or another file provider may download selected files before Kleivo copies them locally.
- Microphone: used when you choose to record a voiceover. Recordings are stored locally.
- Speech recognition: used when you create captions from your film's audio. Kleivo requires on-device recognition and does not fall back to server recognition. Available languages depend on your device's support.
- Saving to Photos: Kleivo requests add-only access when you choose to save an export to your photo library.
You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Features that need a denied permission will be unavailable until you allow it.
Sharing and backups
Sharing a video, still, subtitle file, or project package is your choice. The app or destination you select receives that copy and handles it under its own privacy practices. Kleivo does not publish your work automatically.
Local app data may be included in device backups according to your Apple settings. Copies saved to iCloud, Files, Photos, or another service may be synced by that service. Those copies and backups are controlled separately from Kleivo. See Apple's explanation of iCloud Backup.
Keeping and deleting your work
Removing a clip from an edit may leave its imported source available for Undo, recovery, or a saved revision. Deleting a project moves it to Recently Deleted for a 30-day recovery period. You can restore or permanently delete it there; expired projects are removed when the app next runs its cleanup.
Saved exports are managed separately in Storage. Deleting a project does not delete copies already saved or shared elsewhere. Small local deletion records and preferences may remain until you delete the app. Deleting the app removes its local data; offloading an app keeps its documents and data. Manage external copies and device backups with their respective apps or providers.
